Curfew imposed in March Pen, Spanish Town amid another deadly shooting

The police have imposed a curfew in sections of the March Pen in Spanish Town in St Catherine amid another fatal shooting.

 

 

A man and a woman were injured on Friday in a gun attack.

 

 

The man died on the same day, while the woman passed away in hospital the following day.

 

 

The curfew began at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 06, and will remain in effect until 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 08.

 

 

The coordinates are as follows:

 

 

NORTH- From the intersection of Salt Island Road and the Spanish Town Bypass, at the stoplight, to the intersection of White Church Street and Salt Pond Road, in the vicinity of the stoplight travelling about 1.29 kilometres along the Spanish Town Bypass.

 

 

EAST - From the intersection of White Church Street and Salt Pond Road, in the vicinity of the stoplight, travelling along Salt Pond Road, about 1.23 kilometres, to the toll road at the bridge.

 

 

SOUTH - From the toll road, in the vicinity of the bridge at Salt Pond Road, travelling along the toll, about 2.77 kilometres, to the end of the intersection between the toll road and Salt Island Road.

 

 

WEST - From the ending of the southern boundary at the intersection of Salt Island Road and the toll road, travelling along Salt Island roadway, about 1.97 kilometres, to the beginning of the northern boundary at the intersection of Salt Island Road and the Spanish Town Bypass.

 

 

During the curfew, persons within the boundaries are required to remain indoors unless otherwise authorised by the person in charge of enforcing the curfew.
