SAINT LUCIA — Philip J. Pierre continues to steer the nation as Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, a position he has held since July 28, 2021. The veteran politician, also leader of the Saint Lucia Labour Party (SLP), oversees the country’s economic, financial, and youth development portfolios.

Pierre’s leadership was reaffirmed in the December 2025 general elections, when the SLP secured a strong majority in the House of Assembly, giving him a renewed mandate to implement his government’s agenda.

The Prime Minister has also been active on the regional stage. In April 2025, he assumed the chairmanship of the Regional Security System (RSS) Council of Ministers, highlighting Saint Lucia’s commitment to Caribbean security collaboration.

A seasoned politician, Pierre has long championed initiatives focused on economic growth, youth empowerment, and social development, while maintaining an emphasis on regional partnerships. Observers say his leadership reflects a balance between domestic priorities and Saint Lucia’s role within the wider Caribbean community.
