Two shot, one fatally, in March Pen Road gun attack

A man was fatally shot and a woman was injured in a gun attack in the community of March Pen Road in Spanish Town, St Catherine last night.
The deceased has been identified as 32-year-old labourer Damon Duncan, a resident of the community.
No motive has been established for the attack.
In recent times, the area has been tense following shootings, resulting in the police imposing curfews.
Regarding yesterday’s incident, it is reported that about 8:45 p.m., explosions were heard and an alarm was raised.
Upon the arrival of the police, the man and the woman were found suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both were taken to the Spanish Town Hospital, where the man succumbed and the woman was admitted.
The Spanish Town Criminal Investigation Branch is probing the matter.
