Two men were arrested on Friday after detectives seized three parcels of a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine during an operation along the Tower Isle main road in St Mary.
The police from the Firearm and Narcotics Investigation Division, acting on information, intercepted and searched two motor vehicles, a statement said on Monday.
The suspected cocaine was reportedly found inside a white Toyota Corolla Fielder, hidden behind the front passenger seat on the vehicle floor.
Nothing illegal was found in the second vehicle. However, more than $600,000 in cash was confiscated after the occupants allegedly failed to properly account for the funds.
Both vehicles were taken to the police station for processing.
