High-Powered Rifle Seized in Mount Salem Raid — Three Nabbed

ST JAMES, Jamaica — Cops assigned to the Mount Salem Police division scored a major find on Friday after seizing a high-powered PA15 .300 assault rifle and 22 rounds of 5.56 ammunition during a targeted raid on Piggott Street, Mount Salem.

 

According to investigators from the Mount Salem CIB, the operation unfolded around 12:00 p.m. when officers searched a premises and uncovered the weapon fitted with a magazine.

 

Three individuals were taken into custody in connection with the seizure as detectives probe the origin of the firearm and its possible link to criminal activities in the area.

 

Police are again urging residents to work with law enforcement to reduce gun violence and keep communities safe. Citizens with information are encouraged to contact the police to assist ongoing investigations.
