Body of Unidentified Male Discovered in Spanish Town

The St Catherine police have launched an investigation following the discovery of an unidentified man’s body along Rivoli Avenue in Spanish Town on Thursday morning.

 

Residents reported hearing explosions around 6:40 a.m., and subsequent checks revealed that a man had been shot. Lawmen were alerted, and upon arrival, they found the body lying face down with what appeared to be both gunshot and stab wounds.

 

The victim was dressed in blue jean shorts, black New Balance sneakers, and a pink shirt. Police say he also had several tattoos on both arms, which they hope may assist in identifying him.

 

The crime scene was processed, and the body was removed for a post-mortem examination.

 

The Spanish Town Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) is leading the probe into the killing.
